Welcome!!!

If you stumbled among this site, "Evelyn’s Twigs, Thyme and Stranger Things Garden" is a collection of journal entries that I have kept on my computer for years, and have now decided to post. The journal contains my successes and failures with my favorite selections of plants. I'm talking about more than 50 years of caring for and living with green things. Not everything is here. More of it is learned and store in my head. However, here I will share facts about each plants, my research, as well as my personal and gathered tips on their care.

How My Garden Grows, or Not, Sic: Journal Entry 05/02/2024 Mid-Afternoon

05/02/2024 – Mid-Afternoon –Okay, I transplanted the Swiss chard two to a grow bag because the bags can hold up to 15lbs. These are some of the same grow bags I used for growing greens, and when the Swiss Chard are ready for  harvest I will plant the greens in their place. Right the Swiss Chard looks a little lame; however, they should be perked up in the morning. I then trimmed the roses and all the other plants that needed it. Once the trimming was done I added fresh bark mulch to the plants that will dry out quickly in this high heat. I repeated the same plant maintenances in the Mary Garden.

Finally, I transplanted the Spearmint plants in the raised bed and watered everything. They too will perk up.

I will do the clean up in a day or two when the ground is dry.
